A historian is an individual who studies history and who writes on history. The person may be an authority (or expert) over history, but this is not a requirement. Most generally, historians are the writers, compilers and narrators of history. Historians are concerned with the continuous, systematic narrative and research of past events as relating to the human race; as well as the study of all events in time.
